To
assist you with your booking, or to give you a run-down of
more information relating to The Maze, here's a list of our
top ten questions:
My
flight/bus/train doesn't leave until the afternoon/evening.
Can I store my baggage after check-out?
Yes
you can! The cost for storage is $3 per day for 12 hrs. There
are lockers upstairs on the first floor and these are coin
operated. We also have mini-safes at reception for smaller
items and these are $2 a day. If your bags are very large
& you think they won't fit in the lockers, just bring
them down to reception when you check-out so we can store
them in our basement. The cost for this will also be $3 per
day.
Where
can I get internet access?
Right
upstairs in our very own Computer room, which is located next
to the dining room! If the computers are full, then not to
worry...there is an internet cafe right next door to us called
"Global Gossip." Just turn left when you walk out
the front door. There is a 10 minute free discount voucher
in your Maze Welcome Pack, which you will receive when you
check-in. You can use this free internet card at Global Gossip.
Once you've used up your time there, come and see us at reception
and we can give you a cheap internet recharge card which you
can use at our computers inside the hostel itself - a great
bargain of up to $3 an hour !
Is
Breakfast included?
Breakfast
is not normally included, however we have a fully-equipped
kitchen and there is now a major supermarket only 1 minute's
walk from The Maze.
If
you make a reservation online using our secure on-line booking
form, you can receive a complimentary breakfast. We will give
you the breakfast voucher when you check-in, which you can
use at the excellent Primavera Cafe, which is located
just a 2 minute walk from the hostel! Breakfast is 7 days
a week between 7am-11am.
How do I arrange a pick up from the airport?
If
you're staying with us for 3 or more nights, we can arrange
a free pick-up for you.
Simply
phone us on our freecall number once you've arrived and we
will send a driver out to pick you up. Our number is: 1800
813 522. You will only need to wait about 15 minutes
for a driver to come and collect you. If you are not
staying for 3 nights, we can still pick you up, but the cost
for the bus will be $10. Just pay the driver on the bus. It
is still the cheapest way to get into the city!
*Please
note: Our shuttle bus operates between 4.55am - 9.00pm.
How
can I book a return airport shuttle back to the airport?
Just
come & see reception. Our Shuttle service leaves the Maze
every 30 minutes. You don't even need to book ! Cost is $10
one-way. All you need to do is wait in reception 5 mins before
the designated time and our driver will come in to reception
to collect you. Simply see reception. Buses leave The Maze
every half an hour from 4.55am - 7.35pm 7 days a week.
Where can I book a day tour, flights or bus trips?
Just
see the travel desk at reception and we will give you all
the information you need on any tour of trip you like.
Do you
have any safes where I can store my valuables?
We have safes at reception for $2 per day. Just pay reception
if you would like one. There are also larger lockers on the
1st floor. These are $3 for 12 hours. They fit larger bags
and are coin-operated.
Where is the nearest grocery store?
There
is a huge supermarket which is so close to us! Just turn left
out the door, walk up to the lights, keep walking straight
ahead, and you'll find COLES located in World Square. It takes
you less than a minute to get there!
Do you
offer any discount cards? (VIP/YHA/ISIC/Student Cards)
We
only offer discounts to NOMADS
card holders, which will give you the best rates and value
for money. Cost for membership is $34 and lasts for one year.

There are 2 of us staying. We only need 1 key. How come
we need 2 keys?
We
must give everybody a key for security purposes. Nobody is
allowed past reception without a key and this is for your
own security and safety. A $20 key deposit is required for
each key and this will be refunded to you at check-out.
